Fishermans Bay, Samana Cay

The shallow bay near our anchorage is used occasionally by fishermen from Acklins Island who camp in shacks along the beach there. There are also ruins of stone structures from the 1950s, when this island was farmed and used as a more regular fishing base.

Hi Guys,
I've followed you from you previous blog and really enjoy the new one as we are still 3 years away from departure. Love the spearfishing stories. What's the anchorage like at Samana. I only remember Samana as the corner we turned (and tried to miss) when transiting from rum to maya following a cold front.
thanks
mike and marta and maya
