The best usage of my free time that I can think of is spending it out
in the wilderness. That's one of the nice things about living in
Colorado: there's a lot of it close enough that I can spend a casual
weekend doing what many people can only do on carefully-planned
vacations.

In September 1994 we did a pack trip with Britt's parents in the Weminuche Wilderness, which is near their ranch in Bayfield. Here's a slightly out-of-focus picture of me pretending to be a horsewoman (35862 bytes). I've backpacked in the Grand Canyon twice, both times at Thanksgiving.
There are two more Grand Canyon photos on my rafting page . In June and July 1993, we drove to Alaska! What a wonderful trip.
