We are Britt
Bassett and Ilana Stern. When we got married in 1991, one of our vows was the
promise to have adventures together. We've had a lot of fun living up to that
promise! Some of our other adventures are in Ilana's
personal pages.
Britt was born in Colorado (on Colorado Day) and has lived in that state as well as in Arizona and New Mexico. What the heck is he doing in a sailboat? "I just wanted to try something different." Previous avocations have included rock climbing and whitewater rafting, and he's still a pretty darn good horseback rider. In Boulder he was employed as the head of computer network engineering at NOAA's Boulder laboratories. When in Durango, Britt works as a web application developer.
Ilana writes
a column for the Durango Herald, freelances for a variety of magazines,
and while in Durango she works via the magic of telecommuting for the
National Center for Atmospheric Research. Her degree is in meteorology,
but unfortunately her specialty was climatology, so she still can't manage to
keep out of the way of hurricanes. This website is mostly her fault.

We love getting email and do our best to respond to all mail received. When we are on the boat please do not send attachments or photos as we have a slow link.
